SUKKUR: Armed men belonging to the Chachar community set off to different areas of Ghotki district and cordoned off the entry/exit points of Ghotki city, Khanpur Mahar, Adilpur, Shahpur and some other towns in a hunt for a teenage girl of their community who had left her house situated in Waryam Chachar village near Khanpur Mahar on Tuesday evening to contract a freewill marriage.

The armed men sprung into action as soon as they received the information that Zameeran, 18, had left her home to contract a freewill marriage with Shafiq Chachar, a resident of Kot Sabzal (Punjab). Her family has lodged a complaint of her kidnapping at the Adilpur police station.
