SUKKUR/MITHI: Four children drown in two separate incidents which took place in Sukkur and Tharparkar district on Wednesday.

In Pannu Aqil town of Sukkur district, two children, Ameer Bukhsh Jatoi, 7, and Nabeel Jatoi, 6, residents of Alam Khan Jatoi village situated on the outskirts of the town fell into Korai Wah while playing on its dyke.

Pakistan Navy divers fish out the bodies when the area residents failed to reach the victims despite hectic efforts.In Tharparkar district, two girls, Nasreen Luqman, 5, and Jamila Taj, 7, drowned in a water reservoir, locally called ‘tarai’, in Lakhe Je Wandh village situated near Kaloi town.

Area people said they were bathing in the pond but lost their balance in a deeper portion and drowned.

Divers living within the village fished out the two bodies and handed them over to the heirs.
