ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will be constructing a water theme park spread over 200 acres in Shahdara and will launch a transport service in the rural areas.

CDA Member Environment Sanaullah Aman said the civic agency’s board has approved the plans for these projects.

He added that tenders for both projects will be advertised.

Shahdara is a popular picnic spot near Quaid-i-Azam University and Bhara Kahu. The public transport service will be launched on six rural routes and will be connected to metro bus stations as well.

The civic authority also approved a project for developing a picnic area.
