SAHIWAL: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sahiwal declared the detailed result of annual exam of the secondary school education while other education boards announced their position holders on Tuesday.

Girls bagged top three positions in the annual matriculation examination in the BISE Sahiwal.

Ayesha Maryum, Nishat Irshad, Sadiqa Javed of the District Public Girls School, Depalpur stood first, second and third by securing 1,083, 1,081, 1,079 marks, respectively. Mutahira Naveed, of the Educators Girls High School Sahiwal, shared second position with Nishat Irshad by securing the same (1,081) marks. Most of top positions holders in the exam are from private schools. The overall pass percentage in the board remained 73pc.

The result was announced by BISE chairman Dr Anwaar Ahmed while talking to the media in his office.

In the boys’ science group, Muhammad Mudassar of the District Public School for Boys, Okara bagged the first position with 1,072 marks, Muhammad Hanzala of Dawn High School, Chichawatni remained second with 1,071 marks while Safiullah of the District Public School for Boys, Okara got the third position with 1,067 marks.


Girls top in Sahiwal and Bahawalpur


Among boys’ arts group, Muhammad Musab, a private candidate, Muhammad Ijaz of Govt High School, Pakpattan and Mamoon Rashid, Govt Higher Secondary School, Qaboola, Pakpattan got first, second and third positions by securing 1,023, 978 and 950 marks, respectively.

In the girls’ arts group, Bisma Aslam of Govt Binaatul Islam High School, Sahiwal, Tania Abbas of Govt Girls High School, 1/10-L, Sahiwal and Mehreen Yasin, a private candidate, got first, second, third positions by securing 1,034, 1,024 and 1,016 marks, respectively.

A total of 60,186 candidates had appeared in the exam and 44,418 of them succeeded. Of them, 14,152 had appeared as private candidates.

Tahir Hussain Jafri, controller exams, said 82pc students passed in regular category in science group while the percentage was 76pc in arts group. In private category, 61pc students passed the exam in science group and 55pc in arts group.

BAHAWALPUR: District Bahawalnagar’s four girls clinched the top positions in the annual matric examination of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Bahawalpur.

The first, second and third positions were captured by Fauji Foundation Model Girls High School, Bahawalnagar’s Bismah Qureshi, Aifaf Latif and Soha Tariq and Irza Ali by securing 1,085,1,077 and 1,075 marks, respectively. Muhammad Awais of Educator’s Rohi Campus, Rahim Yar Khan shared the third position with Soha and Irza by securing 1,075 marks.

In boys’ arts group, Ghulam Dastgir of the Government High School Chak 28-G got first position while among the girls, Ayesha Aslam of Government MC Girls High School, Sadiqabad got the first position by obtaining 942 and 1,004 marks, respectively.

GUJRANWALA: The Intermediate and Secondary Education Board (BISE) announced the matriculation result.

Muhammad Faizan clinched first position with 1,079 marks, Rao Obaidur Rehman and Hafiza Amiza Ahsan gained 1,078 marks each and shared the second position and Mahrukh and Aswa Arshad shared the third position with 1,077 marks each.

In humanities, Muhammad Hamad secured 1,017 marks and remained first, Muhammad Salman got second position with 1,016 marks and Rafaqat Ali clinched third position with 1,013 marks.

According to official handout, 75.70 percent students passed the examination as 149,405 candidates out of 197,350 succeeded.

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The BISE announced first positions in annual exam of secondary school certificate.

Hasnatur Rehman of the Govt Boys School No.1 Dera Ghazi Khan obtained the overall first position by getting 1,086 marks. Muhammad Hassan of Asif Saleem Boys Higher Secondary School Alipur remained second with 1,084 marks while the third position was secured by Minhaj Fatima Khan of District Public Girls Higher Secondary School Layyah with 1,083 marks.

The complete result will be announced on Wednesday (today).
