HYDERABAD: Different programmes were held in parts of Sindh on Tuesday to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir at a time when around 45 people had been killed by the Indian army in a fresh wave of violence in the held valley.

In Hyderabad, local chapter of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz PML-N) led by its president Hanif Siddiqui took out a rally from the old campus to the local press club in support to the people of Kashmir.

Addressing the rally, he said the PML-N government had decided to observe the day of solidarity with Kashmiri people. The Indian army had so far killed 50 innocent Kashmiris while thousands of others, including women and children, had been injured, he said.

He said the silence of international forces over such brutalities was strange, adding that the people of Pakistan would not leave Kashmiris alone.

A local PPP leader, Badar Memon, also led a rally from Tandojam to the local press club to mark the day. Speaking on the occasion, he said imperialist forces were silent over atrocities in Kashmir where the real face of India had been exposed.

He said the PPP workers were untied and ready for struggle under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to support Kashmiris.

The people of Kashmir would get freedom to become part of Pakistan under Bilawal’s leadership, he added.

Provincial chapter of the Pakistan Sunni Tehrik held a meeting under the chairmanship Maulana Noor Ahmed Qasmi in its divisional secretariat. It expressed that Kashmir belonged to Pakistan and nobody could separate it from Pakistan.

It observed that so called rights bodies and the United Nations (UN) were silent spectators and not condemning atrocities against Kashmiris by the Indian government.

It noted that Pakistani rulers had failed to plead the case of Kashmiris effectively.

SUKKUR: The Union of Children here in Nawan Goth expressed their held a protest against the Indian government as well as its army.

Children gathered at the Goth torched an effigy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also raised slogans against him.

They should help stop killing of innocent people, he demanded.MIRPURKHAS: Scores of people under the banner of a National Peace Committee for Interfaith Hormony took out a rally here from the railway station chowk to express solidarity with Kashmiri people.
