PESHAWAR: One of Pakistan Super League's (PSL) five teams, Peshawar Zalmi, on Friday announced they will retain most of their playing line-up during PSL's second season.

"We will retain Shahid Afridi, Darren Sammy, Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, Tamim Iqbal, Shaun Tait, Hassan and Asghar," said Peshawar Zalmi's owner, Javed Afridi, while talking to DawnNews.

Afridi added that all other players will be either traded or transferred. The PSL team is also reported to be in contact with South African Quinton de Kock and England's Jason Roy for the upcoming second season of PSL.

Earlier, Zalmi's captain Shahid Afridi, hinted at his differences with the Peshawar Zalmi owner, Javed Afridi.

It was reported Quetta Gladiators plan to play a couple of T20 matches against Peshawar Zalmi in England during the national side's tour of British Isles later this summer.

Peshawar Zalmi's owner Javed Afridi had welcomed Gladiator's offer.

Despite being the runner-ups, Zalmi put up a phenomenal show in the inaugural edition of PSL earlier this year.
