LAKKI MARWAT: Three armed men attacked the house of a villager with a hand grenade in Titterkhel village near Ghaznikhel police station. However, there was no casualty.

Police said on Friday that the attackers had a dispute with the villager Fazlur Rehman. “In a bid to take revenge they reached the house of their opponent in the village and hurled a hand grenade into his house,” they said.

They said that the attackers also resorted to firing which panicked the residents of the entire locality. The police said that electricity cables of power transmission line were damaged in the grenade and firing attack, but there was no casualty.

The attackers fled after the incident while police have registered a case against Asifullah, Samiullah and Latifullah on the complaint of Fazlur Rehman.

Also in day, a man was killed over a woman-related dispute in Paharkhel Pakka village on Friday.

A villager Abdul Rashid told Ghaznikhel police that one Anwar Khan allegedly shot his son Abdul Halim dead and escaped. He told police that they had a dispute over family-related issues with Anwar.
