LARKANA: A five-year-old girl was strangled to death and her body was thrown in a graveyard in Allahabad locality late on Wednesday night after being subjected to sexual assault, according to police and relatives.

The body having visible torture marks was shifted to the Chandka Medical College Teaching Hospital where doctors declared the girl had been sexually assaulted.

Police and the ill-fated girl’s relatives managed to get hold of the assault suspect at main bus terminal before he could catch a wagon to flee.

The enraged relatives beat up the suspect severely and were about to torch him alive when police intervened and whisked him away.
