LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif said on Friday that Pakistan’s armed forces were fully prepared to respond to the entire spectrum of threats. The COAS was addressing participants of a course here at the Naval War College.

His address focused on the prevailing geo-strategic environment, security challenges and opportunities for Pakistan, said a press release issued by the Pakistan Navy public relations director general.

“With first-hand war experience, operational employment and state-of-combat readiness, our armed forces are fully capable and prepared to respond to the entire spectrum of threats,” he said.

The COAS said Pakistan Navy had a proud history of valour and sacrifices. As a fully vibrant and formidable force, the navy had always come up to the expectations of the nation in defending the maritime frontiers of the country.

He particularly appreciated the close coordination between the three services and acknowledged the support of the entire nation in achieving successes during Operation Zarb-i-Azb. “Together, we will uproot this menace and overcome all challenges facing Pakistan,” he said.
