Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi stroked a laudable start with a straight sets victory in the first round of the ongoing French Open Doubles event.
Aisam and his Canadian partner, Daniel Nestor, beat the Spanish and Italian pair of Cervantes and Lorenzi 7-6 (7-5).
In the second round of the tournament, the 14th seeded duo is set to face Argentinian Jonathan Erlich and Colin Fleming from England.
Erlich and Fleming outperformed Paire and Mathieu in the first round 6-3, 6-0.
