ALMOST every television channel broadcasts a morning show that has exquisite ambiance with ‘celebrities’ wearing the latest designer wear in elegant style and having a casual conversation about a pointless topic with a lame exchange of ideas.

I have often thought about the purpose of these mindless shows in our lives. Despite their senseless talk, discussions on lame issues, celebrating wedding weeks of the people who are already married and to ensure everybody on earth knows how to make a face whitening cream the viewers just can’t get enough of them.

The media has a huge impact on society and on our opinions and is responsible for the change in the morals and ethics of society.

It can at times exploit people through these morning shows which only depict everything rich and beautiful and encourages a sense of pity for those who cannot afford such a lifestyle.

Entertainment is fine if it is not vulgar and cheap.
