MUZAFFARABAD: Official vehicles to be returned by the cabinet members or any other politically appointed government functionary to the Central Transport Pool (CTP) will not be allotted to any officer or institution until the installation of a new government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

A notification to this effect was issued by the Services and General Administration Department on Friday, under the directions of the AJK Chief Secretary Sikandar Sultan Raja.

Sohail Sheikh, in-charge AJK CTP, said the chief secretary had not only banned the allotment of these vehicles, but also their unwarranted use.

All such vehicles would be parked in the basement of Block Number 11 in the New Civil Secretariat until the formation of next government, he said, adding, secretary planning and development was directed to take adequate measures for their protection.
