MURREE: A sport gala was held in Government Degree College, Murree in connection with Iqbal Day celebrations.
Students from almost all educational institutions, senior citizens, workers of Rescue 1122 participated in a marathon race, which started from Jhika Gali and ended at Degree College.
Faizan Zulfikar Qureshi of the Degree College secured first position and Waqar Abasi and Kashif Abbasi stood second and third.
Mohammad Khursheed Abbasi, former town nazim and a social worker was the chief guest.
He also addressed the the participants of the race and distributed prizes among the winners.
He also inaugurated a cricket academy in the college.
