LAHORE: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan met Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here on Friday and discussed political, law and order and security issues.

The issue of alleged video related to an MQM activist in Adiala Jail also came under discussion as Chaudhry Nisar was reported in a press release as telling Mr Sharif that the federal government had constituted a committee headed by the interior secretary to probe the matter.

The chief minister was quoted as saying that he too had taken notice of the alleged video and directed the home secretary to conduct an inquiry into it.

They decided that the federal and provincial governments would adopt a stance and a strategy regarding the alleged video in the light of the inquiry reports.
