RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif witnessed the exercise of a corps near Jhelum on Thursday.

The exercise is being conducted in an overall framework to effectively repulse enemy offensive through integrated application of artillery, air and combat aviation firepower, the Inter Services Public Relations said.

The COAS expressed satisfaction over the standard of operational preparedness and appreciated professional skills displayed by the troops.

The army chief on his arrival was received by Lt Gen Ikramul Haq, Commander 30 Corps, and Maj Gen Sarfraz Sattar, General Officer Commanding 8 Division.
