LAHORE: A candlelit vigil in connection with the Earth Hour was held at the Allama Iqbal International Airport and the Government College University on Saturday.

All lights of GCU’s historical clock tower were switched off at 8:30pm. A good number of students attended the vigil at the varsity.

“It’s not a lights-out event, rather it’s time to show support and raise awareness about climate change. We have to change ourselves today for a healthy life of our future generations,” said GCU Geography Department in-charge Dr Ali Iqtidar Mirza. At the airport, the Civil Aviation Authority officials held a vigil and walk.
