Congratulations, Ms."Hanan al-Hroub, who teaches in the West Bank,was awarded the second annual Global Teacher Prize,"you are a beacon of light for all other's & hope for all the Palestinian people and their future generations to come to live in peace and harmony. May your success be a sign for others to follow your example in setting good precedence throughout the global village. Now that's called service to humanity.Where are other such examples from our part of the world who must be out there in our countries nook &corners,if not at international level have our governments even given such prizes to most deserving teachers across the country Pakistan by any of the preceding governments. You have set an example of excellence by working in all odd conditions as a;"A Palestinian primary school teacher who encourages students to renounce violence has won a $1 million prize for teaching excellence." I encourage all Muslim teacher's & in particular all Pakistani teachers to do the same.

@aslam shaiEveryone calls it Palestine yet nobody is willing to recognize it as a country! historically there was no independent Palestine it was always under some empire eg olden times under egypt , greeks, romans, kurds under saludin, turks, brits, even Jordan had jeruselem under it till the 60s, and now part of Palestine is under Israel they were never separate nation

@Rustom E Hind then let's do a public voting a plebiscite and set the boundaries of Israel and Palestine. While doing that let's do a plebiscite in Kashmir too so they decide which country they want to be with. Let's help and free the people from tyranny.

Devoted teachers like Hanan deserve appreciation for their excellent academic contributions. Ms. Hanan al Haroub set a glorious example in the academic arena to be followed by the new generation thirsting for peace and non-violence. The cash prize achieved by the Palestinian teacher will encourage other teachers of the incomplete state to accelerate their endeavours for improving the academic standard in order to join the competitive race for the same objective.
