QUETTA: Two suspected militants were killed in an ‘encounter’ with security forces in Sariab area on Sunday.

Sources said that personnel of Frontier Corps and police launched a search operation in different areas of Sariab in connection with Saturday’s suicide attack.

Security forces moved into an area on a tip-off about presence of suspected militants there. This triggered an ‘encounter’ which continued for an hour, resulting in the killing of two suspects.

“Two militants were killed in exchange of fire,” a spokesman for Frontier Corps said.
