TAXILA: Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Hassanabdal has declared three private housing schemes illegal.

Tehsil Municipal Officer Sajid Ali Khan told newsmen that Bolan City, Khyber City and Wah Township were violating the rules and had not been approved by the TMA.

Mr Khan said action would be taken against the land developers under the Punjab Land Subdivision Private Housing Scheme Rules, 2010.

The officer added that notices had been issued to the colonies saying that the developers of these schemes were bound by the Punjab LG Ordinance, 2001, to get an NOC from and approved building plans by the Tehsil Council before developing a colony.

Mr Khan said prospective investors in the housing schemes and land sub-divisions had been advised not to purchase property there, until they had been approved by the civic body. Investors were also advised to confirm the legality of a housing scheme and land sub-division from the TMA before making any transactions.
