SIALKOT: Three people were killed in as many incidents in the district on Wednesday.

Locals found the beheaded body of a youngster in fields at Daska’s Rangaanwala village. Some people killed him after torture and dumped his beheaded body in fields.

Police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital for autopsy.

The Daska city police registered a blind murder case.

At Sandhaanwala village, a sack-packed body was recovered from fields.

The Bambaanwala police registered a case.

Munawar Husain, a middle-aged taxi driver who hailed from Maalokey village of Narowal, was found murdered as police recovered his body from a water channel at Jassar village.

Police arrested Imran who told them that he and his accomplices hired the taxi which they drove away with after killing its driver.

ROs: District Coordination Officer Dr Asif Tufail has asked returning officers to ensure implementation of the election code of conduct ahead of the local polls on Dec 5.

Presiding over a meeting of law-enforcement agencies, the DCO reviewed the arrangements for the polls. He said security measures had been put in place to hold polling. He said there was a ban on rallies, big election meetings, wall chalking and fireworks.

He said the LB polls would be held in 124 rural union councils and 24 urban union councils. In Sialkot city, there are 24 urban union councils of municipal corporation.
