FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has evolved a strategy for upgrade of service structure of teachers.

UAF Vice Chancellor Iqrar Ahmad Khan said on Sunday the UAF had evolved a comprehensive criteria for evaluation of professional capability of teachers under which teachers would have to identify their achievements in teaching and research.

Dr Khan said the strategy for promotion of teachers on merit was in consonance with the standards laid down by the internationally top recognised universities. He said in the current year, more than 50 posts of the professors would be vacant due to the retirement of teachers which would be filled by the university.

He revealed that over 250 assistant professors, having PhDs, were performing their duties as teachers.
