MARDAN: ANP provincial president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has criticised Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan for including Qaumi Watan Party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, saying PTI had parted ways with QWP over charges of corruption few months ago.

Addressing a public meeting in Manga area here on Saturday, Mr Hoti said that he was unable to understand the politics of Imran Khan as he was expert in U-turns and immature political decisions.

On the occasion, a prominent figure of the area along with his family members and supporters announced to join ANP.

“Those, who favour Imran Khan, are angels and clean persons but those, who oppose him, are thieves and corrupt people according to the philosophy and policy of PTI chief Imran Khan,” Mr Hoti said.

He said that people were asking Imran Khan that on what grounds he joined hands with Quami Watan Party again as he had levelled charges of corruption against its leadership and provincial ministers before expelling the party from the coalition government in the province.

He asked the rulers of both Pakistan and Afghanistan to create atmosphere of trust and then launch a joint war against enemies of peace in the region. “We will stand in the front row in case of any threat to boundaries of Pakistan. We will defend territory of Pakistan at all costs,” he added.

The ANP leader said that it was believed after election of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani that friendly relations between the two countries would be strengthened but unfortunately few untoward incidents created misunderstanding between the two brotherly countries.

Mr Hoti said that both Pakistan and Afghanistan had to work together for building trust and restoration of peace in the region as without it they had no other option.

He also urged the Indian rulers to shun the aggressive policy and come to the table for talks on the basis of equality as it was in the best interest of both the countries as well as the region.
