RAWALPINDI: A case was registered against Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain in Attock for hurling threats on the Rangers officials during a speech telecast after the paramilitary force personnel raided the party’s headquarters in Karachi on March 11.

The District Police Officer, Attock, retired Capt Atta, said an FIR had been registered against Mr Hussain and members of the MQM’s Rabita Committee Dr Farooq Sattar, Wasim Akhtar, Haider Abbas Rizvi and Qamar Mansoor on the orders of the additional district and sessions judge.

Members of the Rabita Committee are accused of facilitating the MQM chief’s address on telephone from London.
