KARACHI: SFP’s newly-elected general secretary Asif Azeem is presented a bouquet by Marooful Hasan as president Haider Lehri looks on.

KARACHI: Haider Khan Lehri and Asif Azeem were elected unopposed as the President and General Secretary of Softball Federation of Pakistan (SFP) for a four-year term during the polls held at the Karachi Gymkhana in the SFP’s general body meeting on Friday.

The polls were held under the presidentship of Saleem Khan. Chief Election Commissioner and Provincial Secretary Foods, Laeeq Ahmed announced the results of the polls.

The other office bearers elected on the day include Malik Afzal Awan as senior vice-president, Fariduddin Qureshi, Muhammad Zeeshan Merchant and Musaddaq Hanif and Humaira Mughal as vice-presidents.

Malik Farhan Rashid was elected as Finance Secretary and Wasal Muhammad Khan as Associate Secretary.

Later, rich tributes were paid to Saleem Khan for his services in SFP. The house also announced the calendar of tournaments which include a number of national and international events.—APP
