ISLAMABAD: Khalid Usman's five-wicket haul helped Abbottabad topple a star-studded Lahore Whites side by 83 runs in the Group B match of National Twenty20 Cup at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

The left-arm spinner Usman outshined team mates and Pakistan internationals Junaid Khan and Yasir Shah, picking up 5/26 in four overs after Abbottabad had amassed 198/3 batting first.

Yasir Hameed, who 25 Tests and 56 ODIs, struck 67 from 43 balls, smacking nine boundaries and two sixes while Younis Khan scored 61 from 39 balls as Lahore captain Azhar Ali was left ruing his decision to put Abbottabad in.

For Lahore Whites, Mohammed Irfan, Mustafa Iqbal and Hussain Talat grabbed a wicket each.

In reply, Lahore were dismissed for 115 runs in only 16 overs by Younis Khan's side.

Mohammad Hafeez (31), Saad Nasim (19) and Ahmed Shehzad (16) were the main scorers.

For Abbottabad, Junaid Khan and Yasir Shah also bagged two wickets each for 19 and 22 runs, respectively.
