After the success of Nawazuddin Siddiqui's biopic Manjhi - The Mountain Man, it appears that another tale of struggle is on its way to the big screen. This film is based on Indian social activist Anna Hazare, whose hunger strike caused a stir in the country.

Directed by Shashank Udapurkar, the film began shooting on Friday in Hazare's native village, Ralegan Siddhi in Ahmednagar district, reported The Indian Express.

The scenes from the famous 'JanLokpal bill rally' were shot that day, followed by the retaliation of the villagers supporting his campaign in Ramlila ground in Delhi four years ago. Actor Tanishaa Mukerji will be playing the role of a journalist in the film.

The film, which has gotten the green light from Hazare himself, will zoom into his life from his childhood days to his enlisting in the army and his ultimate return to his hometown to raise his voice against the raging corruption.

No release date for the film has been announced as yet.
