KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said on Wednesday he and his party were not against armed forces and law-enforcement agencies and called their personnel “our sons and brothers”.
But he reiterated that army, Rangers or police of any country should ‘‘avoid committing excesses against their citizens”.
Addressing the families of slain, imprisoned and missing party workers, he alleged that due process of law was not being followed when it came to charges against MQM workers.
It was the only grievance of his party and he had been raising his voice only for that `injustice’, he added.
The Muttahida leader “appealed” to Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to play his role for providing justice to families of MQM’s slain workers and recovery of those missing for several months.

As a visionary political leader AH is under ethical and moral obligation to safeguard the interest of Karachi and its people. He is demanding Justice from all quarters towards his nation which is his birth right.
All he is doing is condemning selective justice system as it is harmful to the country. It is not a wise idea to alienate one section of society and or community.
Let Pakistan and its people live a respectable life and remain united like a bouquet of flowers with assorted colors, smell etc.
History is witness Mohajir nation had always stood by the armed forces of Pakistan in thick and thin. All AH is asking for equal justice and right to live respectfully.

Rangers are not after MQM workers. They are just nabbing the target killers and Bhatta Khors hiding in political parties, including those hiding behind MQM.

The COAS is doing his job by making sure that among other things, peace is restored in Karachi and for that to happen, all miscreants need to be dealt with and if most of them belong to MQM then so be it.

Localisation is the solution.Equality,justice, ownership, merit and good governance must prevail and grievances must be seriously looked into.For the last seven years we are without Local Governments and in full throttle corruption mode.

Another 180 degree u-turn. It is time the party leaders sit down and ask bhai to have less air time and tele-khitab time. He is losing reputation fast because of his comic statements. Bhai and mqm leaders will have to think that why would some one vote for the party where the first-leader is showing signs of early dementia. Perception and reputation is very important in politics. People did not vote for ppp because it was viewed as a party of the corrupt (zardari-gilani-raja).

Muslims around the world must make their countries safe without ambition of becoming leader by creating divisions. Migrated Muslims living in Pakistan are legitimate citizen of Pakistan and must not have identity as Muhajir same as Musharaf did. Live and Die where you live. But discrimination if any must be addressed by state.

Pakistan will be in big trouble in future,no one can speak again army. I understand they r doing great job but it must be accountable to every citizen. No one innocent citizen should be punished just because he said something. We don"t want to move to dictatorship
If Military court has power to make law then they can bypass parliament , its not healthy sign of democracy
