MINGORA: Two people were killed and three injured in separate incidents here on Monday.

A man, reportedly a principal of a technical college, was killed after being hit by a Wapda van on Saidu Sharif road, a police official said.

The body was dispatched to his native Darmai area in Matta tehsil. The police arrested the van driver.

In another incident at Qambar area of Mingora, a man was killed while another was injured while fixing a cable line. The deceased was identified as Sajid Khan and the injured Afzal Khan. Both belonged to Qambar village.

Meanwhile, two pedestrians were hit and injured by the van of security forces at Chinaran area of Saidu Sharif. They were identified as Salahudin Khan and Zahid Hussain. The local people shifted the injured to hospital.
