Last week’s teaser of Dekh Magar Pyaar Se left us with a lovelorn looking Sikander Rizvi but the full trailer has revealed that our 25-year-old rickshaw driver, Sikander Badshah Khan aka Sicky is more than just a Romeo.

Dubbed a rom-com, Asadul Haq’s directorial debut sure has well developed characters that can easily poke fun at each other all the while maintaining a light yet serious outlook.

Compared to Hollywood actor Channing Tatum in the film, Sikander breaks down doors, gets slapped but can’t help himself falling in love with Annie, played by Humaima Malick who mesmerises him with her nonchalance attitude and witty humour.

While the music is soft and enjoyable, the film doesn’t seem to have too many dance numbers. But the one dance number featuring model and actor Amna Ilyas is indeed laudable as Ilyas seems at ease when she swings to a Punjabi number.

The script of the film has been written by journalist/Karachi You're Killing Me novelist Saba Imtiaz and will be a debut film for the writer, director as well as the actor, Sikander. The music score for the film has been done by none other than the very soulful Abbas Ali Khan.

Slated to be released on August 14, the rom-com is set in Lahore and has been dubbed "a complete family entertainer, which will showcase the city's history and culture".

Friends and fans of Humaima in both Pakistan and India posted best wishes for the film as she thanked them for their support:
