Ayub Park

Published July 7, 2015

AYUB Park is one of the best places for holding picnics in Rawalpindi. The Army Heritage Foundation after taking over the park has made many improvements in it.

But now it seems that they are trying to keep the general public away as much as possible. They have closed the park road so that vehicles cannot run through. This makes it difficult for the families to walk all the way from one of the two entry points to the main attractions. This seems to be a foolish step as ample parking space is available throughout the park.

From July 1, the Army Heritage Foundation has doubled the entry ticket. Now even motorcyclists have to pay Rs 20 to go inside. This is just the first step.

It seems that the Army Heritage Foundation is not making enough money, so they have started fleecing the general public. This seems to be tarnishing the very image of the Pakistan Army.
