KARACHI: Saeed Afridi produced a fine spell of spin bowling as Sojhla International recorded a five-wicket win over Brothers CC Dadu in the 28th Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan Cricket Tournament for the State Life Trophy here on Wednesday.

Having lost their first match against holders Tapal CC, Sojhla International celebrated first win in Group ‘A’.

Having opted to bowl first at the AKG Ground, slow left-armer Saeed Afridi grabbed three wickets for 39 runs to help his team dismiss Brothers CC for 104 in 19 overs. Off spinner Abu Zar provided good support with two for 15.

Sojhla International reached their target of 105 in the 18th over while losing half their side. Raja Iftikhar struck an undefeated 39 off 40 balls with the aid of two boundaries. Mohammad Umar made a 31-ball 24.

Later Saeed Afridi was declared man-of-the-match.
