LAHORE: Four women were killed while a man suffered injuries in dust storm-related incidents on Monday.

In the first incident, two sisters were killed and driver of a three-wheeler injured when a tree fell on it on Sundar Das Road. They were shifted to Mayo Hospital where doctors pronounced the women dead. The driver was stated to be stable.

Rehana, 50, and her sister Shabana, 45, were on their way home at Sheesh Mehal, Data Darbar area, after seeing their relatives when the incident took place.

A woman and her daughter were killed when roof of their under-construction house collapsed on Lytton Road.

Police said Qamarul Nisa, 42, and her daughter Fatima, 3, of Shamnagar, were sitting on the ground floor of their house and construction was going on the first floor when the roof caved in during the dust storm.

The woman and her daughter were trapped under the debris and suffered fatal injuries.

Rescuers shifted them to Mayo Hospital where doctors pronounced them dead.
