PESHAWAR: The body of a missing woman was found in a drain in Tehkal police station limits here on Friday.

A police official said the body was retrieved from the drain on information of a local person in Gharibabad area. He said Baswara Bibi of Jamrud area in Khyber Agency had informed police about her sister, Muntazira, having gone missing some days ago.

The official said the complainant alleged her sister was murdered by her husband, Yousuf Khan, over some differences. She said the accused person used to quarrel with his wife as he suspected her character.

“We have arrested the accused but he is yet to share details about the killing of his wife,” the official said. — Bureau Report
