Shakeel shines in Eureka CC win

KARACHI: Junior international Saud Shakeel shone with the bat and ball as Eureka Cricket Club defeated Kashmore CC by five wickets in Dr.M.A.Shah Night Trophy at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium on Sunday.

Saud captured three wickets for 27 with his off-break bowling and scored an unbeaten 45 to steer his team to comfortable win. He was named Man of the Match for his brilliant effort.

Earlier Kashmor CC batting first, mustered 127 for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Riaz Ahmed hit four boundaries and two sixes in his 32.

Eureka CC in reply raced to victory in 14 overs, thanks to fine batting by Shakeel who hit two sixes and one four in his stay at the crease. Abdul Malik scored 28 with two fours and two sixes. Farhan Ali snapped up four wickets for 18 runs.
