PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) on Tuesday claimed that it had reduced loadshedding by two hours on 219 feeders of the province where the overall losses were comparatively lesser.

According to a statement issued here, Pesco said that the customers of another 126 feeders were still facing 20 hours loadshedding as losses ratio there stood at 80 per cent.

Similarly, it said that consumers of 87 feeders, who had been facing 10 hours power cuts on daily basis, would now have eight hours of outages. The power losses on such feeders stood at 30 per cent, it added.

Likewise, 74 feeders with 40 per cent power losses would now face 10 hours loadshedding instead of 12 hours.

The statement said that 16 hours loadshedding was carried out on 58 feeders having losses of 50 per cent, which had now been reduced to 14 hours.

The statement added that if public cooperated Pesco would not only overcome losses but would also be able to reduce loadshedding duration to the relief of consumers.

It is worth mentioning here that Pesco has already ended loadshedding temporarily on 126 feeders with minimum of losses and good recovery.
