SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Sunday gave a cheque of Rs1 million to the family of the farmer who was killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).

The minister went to the house of the slain farmer, Amanat Ali, in village Sariya Kothey, Shakargarh, some 85km from Sialkot.

Condoling with the family over the death, Mr Iqbal condemned the killing of Ali and handed them over the cheque on behalf of the Punjab government.
