KARACHI: In-form opener Farrukh Rizvi smashed his fourth century in the 20th Hinopak Trophy KCCA Inter-departmental Cricket League as Hinopak Motors recorded a thumping 146-run victory over Eaton at the KCCA Stadium here on Friday.

After opting to bat first in the final-round Group ‘B’ fixture, Hinopak Motors reached 271 all out in 44.4 overs with Farrukh contributing a splendid 121 from 126 deliveries with the aid of 15 boundaries.

Farrukh — who had earlier made an unbeaten 157, 148 and 176 while taking his aggregate for the tournament to 796 runs at an average of 132.00 in just seven matches — was ably supported by Asad Ali who made 64 that included nine hits to the fence.

Spinner Mohammad Irfan captured four wickets for 31 runs.

Eaton, in reply, were bowled out for a paltry 125 in the 29th over with Shaharyar Zafar making 38 (seven fours).

Off-spinner Fawad Afridi snared four wickets for 31 runs and left-arm spinner Shiraz Hussain chipped in with two for 15.

In their first match of the final round, Hinopak Motors had sealed a narrow two-wicket win against Dollar East at the RLCA Gulberg Ground.
