LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday issued bailable warrants for Punjab Labour Secretary for not responding to court’s notices.

The court had summoned the secretary on last hearing when he failed to submit his reply to a petition about non-payment of remunerations to employees of a private company. The petitioners had questioned indifferent attitude of the government in the matter.

Petitioner’s counsel stated the labour secretary was ignoring the notices deliberately. He urged the court to take action against the secretary. The court issued bailable arrest warrants for the secretary for next hearing. Published in Dawn, April 21st, 2015
