Aces having Ahsan Javed Qureshi, Nauman Butt, Ghias Malik, Zia Hyder Naqi surprised Karachi’s both outfits Ahsan and Puri Estate by producing logical bidding, thus approaching correctly on game or part game contracts, and handling dummy with perfection to take up the task.

All the three teams played four sessions of 16 Boards each.

Aces accumulated total 139 Imps in four sets.

Ahsan finished runners-up having 128 Imps followed by former national champion and fancied Puri Estate 99, which team failed to put up their best.

Ahsan had Ahsan Zahir Rizvi, Anwer Kizilbash, Nasir Reza Khan, Ghulam Mohammad, Wajahat Surin and Andul Muqeet Shaikh in their team.

Whereas, Puri Estate enjoyed the services of Mubashir Puri, Junaid Said, Ziaullah Baig, Hamed Mohiuddin, Hasan Askari and Khalid Mohiuddin.

By winning the national crown, Aces qualified to represent Pakistan in the Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East (BFAME) being staged in Amman (Jordan).
