I AM a victim of the HEC’s policy about the merit criterion for laptop scheme. I don’t find anywhere that the HEC has distributed laptops on the basis of academic performance of students.
Students with high GPAs have been ignored just because of little errors in their data validation. The HEC has declared students with 3.7 GPA ineligible whereas it has awarded laptops to students with 3.2 GPA.
This is unjust. Students whose data validation possess errors must be given a chance to correct their profile and must be considered eligible for award of laptops because the prime minister has said that laptops belong to brilliant students only.Merit must not be murdered on the basis of little technical errors.
I request the prime minister and authorities concerned to take remedial steps against such unjust policy so that deserving students could get their award and merit could survive.
