Yesterday actor Hamza Ali Abbasi announced, via his Facebook page, that he was going to give up his post as PTI's culture secretary because a movie he's appearing in doesn't conform to the general expectations we have of Pakistani culture.

Discussions about his motives, and of whether he was right to resign or not, dominated social media, with opinions ranging from exultant to bored.

This is now very old stunt to get the movies popularised. Hamza has just done that so that his movie can get extra ordinary coverage

C'mon Hamza, U r a talented actor, firstly U should do more films. Secondly we all know most of the films are meant to only entertain, so whatever comes on screen depends on the script. Please focus on movies

He wanted a out and this was a so called lame excuse. He is trying to run for MNA seat on PPP ticket. Secondly he blames it on friendship and doing scene which are against his principle. My question to him is what kind of company / friendship does he have that force him to do things out of his character. What kind of weak personality does he have.
