KARACHI: A 38-year-old woman was shot dead over some personal enmity in the Ibrahim Hyderi area on Wednesday.

Police said suspects knocked at the door of a house in Ali Goth early in the morning, and as Yasmin Sabir opened the door, the gunmen attacked her and fled. She sustained bullet wounds in her neck and was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where doctors declared her dead.

Police have detained a suspect, Fazal Hayat, on a complaint of the victim’s husband, Sabir, and were investing the case.
