Army chief commemorates 100th anniversary of WW1

LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday commemorated the raising of the Infantry Division 100 years ago, said Director General (DG) of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Asim Bajwa on Twitter.

General Raheel shed a light on the significance of achieving peace through conflict resolution, the lack of which led to the disastrous World War 100 years ago.

The COAS also highlighted the need of operational preparedness and the significance of deterrence as a means of not promoting war but preserving peace.
|
General Raheel further said that the war 100 years ago serves as a reminder for the international community to show urgency in resolving long standing international disputes that are yet to have a just resolution.

There was no greater slaughter of soldiers in the history of the world than the Human Meat Grinder called the Great War in Europe. The Iran-Iraq War was not even close.
Malthus' Theory of Population was being proven correct in both cases, that war is an on going population eraser along with famine and disease. War is the merciless prevention of famine when it strikes first.
Pakistan's religious barometer is mob action, and another precursor driven by over population and a reduction of farmland in an agrarian society.

The whole world shares the same history. Pakistan also has its own history, and it is shared with present India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and other surrounding countries. World War changed the map of many countries, but land and it's people will always OWN their history.
