QUETTA: Mir Abdul Rehman Khan Jamali, younger brother of former prime minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, passed away in a Karachi hospital on Saturday. He was 69.

Mir Rehman Jamali had been suffering from lungs cancer and had twice visited London for treatment.

Late in the evening, his body was brought to his native Rojhan Jamali village for burial in the family graveyard.

Mir Rehman Jamali was the nephew of Mir Jaffar Khan Jamali, a main leader of Pakistan movement, and uncle of Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali, Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly.

He was a senior politician and had represented Balochistan in the Senate. He was twice elected as member of the Balochistan Assembly from Jaffarabad and had served as minister for Servi­ces and General Administration, and Law and Parliamentary Affairs.
