Well Lara is probably be righ, but people who need to wake up are much higher in the PCB and its patron. Pakistan's Cricket has been in crisis for last 6-8 years, yet I see no serious action by the patron and chairmen of PCB. They are all fighting for their positions and powers. I feel if this same talent that exists today had a different institution preparing them, will be so confident and will deliver much better results.

@apple siri How many times this has happened in the past but without success. Our domestic cricket needs to be improved and it must be competitive. Players should take responsibility to perform for Pakistan consistently .They do not utilize their potential very well.They don't listen to their coaches advice and batsmen get cheaply in the same fashion and bowlers forget to bowl in the right areas. Many players were given chances in the recent past but their performances have dismal. What Talha did,what Nasir is doing etc.

I think if we want to make our 20/20 team to behave in similar fashion then make Misbah it's captain as well. I don't know how large his paarchi is, but that guy is literally useless. He is meddling with everything as far as how each batsman is going to bat. I guess he wants all the batsmen to fail, so that he can go and play in his style of batting and take 50 balls to score only 15 and then start playing. I am not sure why he is so reluctant to pick Sarfaraz and ask him to open. I guess, he wants the openers to fail so then he has a genuine reason to come and take his sweet time and score 70 odd runs and get out and look good. In the last match if Wahab had not scored 50 runs in such a short period of time, Pakistan would have lost. He should not be allowed to speak to any batsman before they go and bat. These are professionals and they should be allowed to play how they like to play, it is Misbah who is creating that psychological pressure on the batsmen and that is why they are doing so poorly. I watched last game and could tell that they are not playing their game(especially Ahmed Shehzad who is stroke maker) but Misbah's game. If you want Pakistan to gain some momentum, bat first against UAE, send Sarfaraz as an opener and let him play the way he plays. Believe me, that will remove all the pressure and they will gain momentum. Just like what Sarfaraz did in the first innings of the Australia's first test by scoring a fluent Hundred unlike other players who were playing Australian bowlers as they are assassins. After that, Pakistan kept on winning tests.

A great player loves the game first and foremost. His is watching the ruin of a once great team and probably doesn't like it. I'm sure that Indian greats of the past would probably view Pakistan's current state as tragic (what fun in defeating an unworthy rival), but probably won't say anything because expressions of any such sentiments towards Pakistan may be interpreted quite unsympathetically in their media.

@Balram Sharma Yes but each of that has 24 hours, 50 overs to bowl, 50 overs to face, 50 overs to field and so on. All of it doesn't just come with sheer luck. More than half the side still has to perform. Pakistan at the moment stand no chance, they had no chance in 92 also, they started winning against Zimbabwe, New Zealand was performing well then too. But they had Imran Khan the injured, cornered tiger who tolerated no non-sense. His initiative, leadership, hard work, motivation ensured that more than 70% of the player do their best and the result.

Why don't we accept the fact that team is just not talented enough to compete. All the talk about getting ready and firing on all cylinders is unjustified. The team has been very consistent in being mediocre at best for a number of years. Simply put we are doing what we actually are capable of doing. Asking this team to do more Is akin to asking our politicians to be honest.

Pakistani batting has been absolutely disappointing and cowardly, they look incompetent and stationary even against lower level teams. It is a joke to declare Shazad as man/player of the match, he gave so many chances and would have been out several time. Which means Pakistan needs to look at Coaching staff and the other leaders who have turned our men into scared boys! Whoever is involved in replacing Sarfraz with zero skill opener is enemy number one.
