PERTH: India coach Duncan Fletcher has left the Cricket World Cup to attend his father-in-law's funeral in South Africa and will miss his team's match against the United Arab Emirates on Saturday.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India said in a statement Friday that the Zimbabwean-born Fletcher, who left the team Thursday, was expected to fly back from Cape Town to Perth in time for India's next match against the West Indies on March 6.
India leads Pool B at the tournament after wins over Pakistan and South Africa.

I am a Pakistani but still very sure of the abilities of our neighbors. Even with or without a coach they could reach finals and may even win it.

@nadeem qazi You are right. India won the ICC T20 word cup without any coach. Indian players are well talented but more than that they are always well disciplined. While I see Pakistani players are always talented but always lacks with proper discipline. Perhaps this is something that is missing in their upbringing and culture.
