PIA carrier grounded at Turbat airport

A Pakistan International Airline (PIA) carrier was grounded at Turbat airport after it encountered a technical fault on Sunday.
Meanwhile, another PIA carrier was barred from flying due to technical fault at Sukkur airport. Several passengers were stranded at the airports as the fault in the aircraft disturbed the schedule of flights.
The number of of grounded PIA aircraft has reached to five in the span of three weeks.
Once a source of pride for the country, PIA's decay has made it the butt of jokes, one of which goes that its initials actually stand for 'Perhaps I'll Arrive'.
Flights are regularly cancelled and engineers say they have to cannibalise some planes to keep others flying.
Over the years, critics say, governments have manipulated state corporations like PIA for political and financial gain, giving jobs to so many supporters that the size of the workforce has become unsustainable in the face of mounting losses.

PIA be sold to private carrier like Air Asia if any one interested to buy this horrible garbage baggage. PIA have more employee than major US airline with 200 Big body new aircrafts and fly world around with excellent profits. Poor management, too many employee, major corruption, too many perks to employee, poor maintenance of air crafts due to hiring of people with political connections, etc. Government run projects are major disaters like Steel mill in Karachi, PIA WAPDA, Corruption start at Federal ministers and Provisional Ministers, PIA can wait 2 hours for Mr Malik, Shame on corrupt ministers, shame on National garbage baggage, shame on people still running this many times Bankrupt airline using government funding repeatedly. If a cricket player not performing well, they are dropped, same rule for every organization.

It just saddens me when I see our national carrier ailing with this plague. They know it, still they are reluctant to reform it. The major reasons are political hirings, incompetent hirings, lack of technical training to staff, fake procurement of spare parts ( using the old ones at teh price of new) and lack of supervision of any monitoring authority. These factors add upto to aircraft being grounded. Perhaps I'll Arrive someday.

Get rid of the excess ground staff. Go to any Pak airport and it seems like there are more staff than passengers. Stand around doing absolutely nothing.

@Molvi PIA should have been privatized a long time ago. But political forces refuse to allow that move. Why should the people of Pakistan bear the burden of running a failed business. We have better things to do with our money.
A government is funded through taxes not running businesses. American Airlines has only 60,000 employees and has over a thousand planes in its fleet. PIA has less than 35 planes but 19000 employees. That is the highest employee to aircraft ratio in the, world. PIA would 300 planes to sustain 19,000 employees.

Sell all of its assets to other airlines and real estate agents.
