Petrol crisis

Published January 27, 2015

AMID petrol shortage, the minister for petroleum said he will resign if one proves he is guilty. The finance minister says his ministry is not responsible for the petrol crisis, and the mismanagement is behind this shortage.

The question is: if the petroleum minister is not responsible, then who is? If no one is found guilty, then how did the prime minister swiftly sack many officials?

If no one is responsible from the petroleum or finance ministry, then how come this crisis emerged? Last but not least, the public is waiting to see where is Nawaz Sharif’s experienced team. The people were told by the PML-N during the election campaign that it had a team that had the ability to take Pakistan out of the crisis.

THE finance ministry is more to be blamed for the petrol crisis than anybody else. Didn’t the finance ministry know that the bills of IPPs and PSO had not been cleared?

They should have known the consequences of this. I think Ishaq Dar should fire the finance secretary and also get himself fired by the prime minister.
