TAXILA: A girls primary school in Brahma village in Wah Saddar police area on Monday received a threatening letter in which the administration was warned to close the school or face consequences.

Saeeda Bibi, principal of the school reported the matter to Wah Saddar Police.

When contacted deputy district education officer Abdul Khaliq confirmed that somebody has dropped the letter in the school.

He said security guards had been deployed at the school. He said it looked that somebody had sent the letter to create panic and fear among the staff and students of the area as the school is located in remote and rural area.

Responding to a question he said the education department would make all necessary arrangements for the safety and security of the students.
