Landmine kills two security personnel

PARACHINAR: Two security personnel were killed and three others injured in a roadside blast in lower Kurram Agency on Tuesday.

Political administration officials said the explosion occurred when a vehicle carrying security personnel to Shaheedano Dhand hit a landmine near the Nawab Shaheed checkpost.

Two security men died and three suffered injuries. The vehicle was destroyed in the blast.

The injured were taken to the Combined Military Hospital in Tal.

Security forces soon after the incident cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. However, no arrest was reported till late in night.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.
